Daily Hedgehog Report for Wednesday, January 31, 2007

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Man. What a awful day. I startled myself, and then accidentaly poked my nose with a quill when I curled up. Do you have any idea how much that smarts! Well, to be fair, the rest of the day wasn’t that bad. I’ve always felt that exercise is important. I went through my standard workout last night around 5:54 AM. 438 feet in total, with a 7 minute dash in the middle that covered 96 feet. I checked the monitor afterwards, and I had managed to hit 0.33 feet per second at one point! It was quite a workout. I hope you read my blog again tomorrow - maybe I’ll even top today’s run!

Naturally, there’s a pretty chart detailing my activity minute by minute after the break.

Daily Hedgehog Report for Tuesday, January 30, 2007

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Good morning, Seattle! Of course, I was born in Yakima, Washington, but Seattle is my home. I’ve always felt that exercise is important. I went through my standard workout last night around 6:25 AM. 116 feet in total, with a 4 minute dash in the middle that covered 29 feet. I checked the monitor afterwards, and I had managed to hit 0.33 feet per second at one point! After all that running, I don’t even want to look at the wheel again today. I’m going to hang out on the third story of the cage, maybe in that nice PVC elbow. It’s dark in there.

Of course, what daily report would be complete without a graph. It’s in the full post.

Daily Hedgehog Report for Monday, January 29, 2007

Monday, January 29th, 2007

Good morning, Seattle! Of course, I was born in Yakima, Washington, but Seattle is my home. I’ve always felt that exercise is important. I went through my standard workout last night around 1:15 AM. 654 feet (0.12 miles!) in total, with a 12 minute dash in the middle that covered 168 feet. I checked the monitor afterwards, and I had managed to hit 0.41 feet per second at one point! I think I definitely deserve a crunchy meal worm after all this, but I know I’ll probably have to make due with water and cat food.

Remember, there’s a chart for you after the break.

Daily Hedgehog Report for Sunday, January 28, 2007

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

Good morning, Seattle! Of course, I was born in Yakima, Washington, but Seattle is my home. I’ll let you in on a little secret. I only run when Ben and Eva aren’t looking! But I got some time in tonight while they were sleeping. I managed to get 145 feet in before I heard a noise and decided it wasn’t safe anymore. It’s a pity too, since I had been running for 7 minutes (that one clocked in at 85 feet before I had to hide). They should be sleeping at 8:10 PM! I was even wheeling around at 0.41 feet per second at one point. *sigh* After all that running, I don’t even want to look at the wheel again today. I’m going to hang out on the third story of the cage, maybe in that nice PVC elbow. It’s dark in there.

Of course, what daily report would be complete without a graph. It’s in the full post.

Daily Hedgehog Report for Saturday, January 27, 2007

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

I’ve been hiding under my log all day, but I have to be diligent in my blog posting. The world must know of my efforts! Sometimes I wonder why I like running in that wheel so much. I mean, it feels like I ran 343 feet last night, but I really didn’t go anywhere! Maybe it’s the squeaking sound I like. By the time I got it up to 0.41 feet per second, it was almost constantly squeaking. I bet Ben and Eva are glad they don’t have to listen to all my squeaking at 5:48 PM. I thought maybe if I ran really hard I could actually get somewhere, but after running for 9 minutes continuously (that’s 134 feet at a hedgehog’s speed) I finally gave up. I’m pretty happy here anyway. Anyway, I’ve found this one spot under my wheel where I can wedge myself and nobody can get me out - ha! If you want me during the day, that’s where you’ll find me, but I’m not coming out.

Remember, there’s a chart for you after the break.
