Ah, what better way to start the day than with a yawn, a stretch, a good quill shake, and blog post? I’ll let you in on a little secret. I only run when Ben and Eva aren’t looking! But I got some time in tonight while they were sleeping. I managed to get 9 inches in before I heard a noise and decided it wasn’t safe anymore. It’s a pity too, since I had been running for 1 minutes (that one clocked in at 9 inches before I had to hide). They should be sleeping at 5:18 AM! I was even wheeling around at 0.01 feet per second at one point. *sigh* I think I definitely deserve a crunchy meal worm after all this, but I know I’ll probably have to make due with water and cat food.

It’s a pity too, since I had been running for 1 minutes (that one clocked in at 9 inches before I had to hide). They should be sleeping at 5:47 AM! I was even wheeling around at 0.01 feet per second at one point. *sigh* After all that running, I don’t even want to look at the wheel again today. I’m going to hang out on the third story of the cage, maybe in that nice PVC elbow. It’s dark in there.

Ah, what better way to start the day than with a yawn, a stretch, a good quill shake, and blog post? I’ve always felt that exercise is important. I went through my standard workout last night around 9:51 PM. 15 feet in total, with a 4 minute dash in the middle that covered 79 inches. I checked the monitor afterwards, and I had managed to hit 0.05 feet per second at one point! I’m pretty tired after all that excercise though, and hedgehogs are nocturnal anyway. So it’s time for me to curl up and go to sleep.

Man. What a awful day. I startled myself, and then accidentaly poked my nose with a quill when I curled up. Do you have any idea how much that smarts! Well, to be fair, the rest of the day wasn’t that bad. On to the stats. Over the night, I ended up running 44 inches. I ran the most at around 4:43 AM, and I had a pretty good sprint, running for 1 minutes and covering 9 inches in one go! And don’t forget my blazing top speed of 0.01 feet per second! After all that running, I don’t even want to look at the wheel again today. I’m going to hang out on the third story of the cage, maybe in that nice PVC elbow. It’s dark in there.

I’ve been hiding under my log all day, but I have to be diligent in my blog posting. The world must know of my efforts! Sometimes I wonder why I like running in that wheel so much. I mean, it feels like I ran 18 inches last night, but I really didn’t go anywhere! Maybe it’s the squeaking sound I like. By the time I got it up to 0.01 feet per second, it was almost constantly squeaking. I bet Ben and Eva are glad they don’t have to listen to all my squeaking at 5:11 AM. I thought maybe if I ran really hard I could actually get somewhere, but after running for 1 minutes continuously (that’s 9 inches at a hedgehog’s speed) I finally gave up. I’m pretty happy here anyway. I think I definitely deserve a crunchy meal worm after all this, but I know I’ll probably have to make due with water and cat food.
