Hog Blog

I’ve been hiding under my log all day, but I have to be diligent in my blog posting. The world must know of my efforts! Sometimes I wonder why I like running in that wheel so much. I mean, it feels like I ran 208 feet last night, but I really didn’t go anywhere! Maybe it’s the squeaking sound I like. By the time I got it up to 0.15 feet per second, it was almost constantly squeaking. I bet Ben and Eva are glad they don’t have to listen to all my squeaking at 10:40 PM. I thought maybe if I ran really hard I could actually get somewhere, but after running for 6 minutes continuously (that’s 20 feet at a hedgehog’s speed) I finally gave up. I’m pretty happy here anyway. I think I definitely deserve a crunchy meal worm after all this, but I know I’ll probably have to make due with water and cat food.

Man. What a awful day. I startled myself, and then accidentaly poked my nose with a quill when I curled up. Do you have any idea how much that smarts! Well, to be fair, the rest of the day wasn’t that bad. Sometimes I wonder why I like running in that wheel so much. I mean, it feels like I ran 55 feet last night, but I really didn’t go anywhere! Maybe it’s the squeaking sound I like. By the time I got it up to 0.13 feet per second, it was almost constantly squeaking. I bet Ben and Eva are glad they don’t have to listen to all my squeaking at 3:43 AM. I thought maybe if I ran really hard I could actually get somewhere, but after running for 7 minutes continuously (that’s 17 feet at a hedgehog’s speed) I finally gave up. I’m pretty happy here anyway. I’m pretty tired after all that excercise though, and hedgehogs are nocturnal anyway. So it’s time for me to curl up and go to sleep.

I ran the most at around 2:39 AM, and I had a pretty good sprint, running for 7 minutes and covering 33 feet in one go! And don’t forget my blazing top speed of 0.12 feet per second! Man, that was a full day. I even got a treat of a delicious meal worm this morning! I think I ate it too fast though… I want another.

Ah, what better way to start the day than with a yawn, a stretch, a good quill shake, and blog post? On to the stats. Over the night, I ended up running 129 feet. I ran the most at around 2:45 AM, and I had a pretty good sprint, running for 7 minutes and covering 23 feet in one go! And don’t forget my blazing top speed of 0.12 feet per second! I think I definitely deserve a crunchy meal worm after all this, but I know I’ll probably have to make due with water and cat food.

Another day, another hedgehog report! No day is complete without one. Sometimes I wonder why I like running in that wheel so much. I mean, it feels like I ran 144 feet last night, but I really didn’t go anywhere! Maybe it’s the squeaking sound I like. By the time I got it up to 0.11 feet per second, it was almost constantly squeaking. I bet Ben and Eva are glad they don’t have to listen to all my squeaking at 4:21 AM. I thought maybe if I ran really hard I could actually get somewhere, but after running for 6 minutes continuously (that’s 19 feet at a hedgehog’s speed) I finally gave up. I’m pretty happy here anyway. Man, that was a full day. I even got a treat of a delicious meal worm this morning! I think I ate it too fast though… I want another.
