Pliny is gone
Pliny the hedgehog passed away today at about 5:30pm. He had been very ill for weeks, and while Eva and I had been giving him antibiotic shots and feeding him by hand for over a week, he was not going to get better. We’ll miss him. He was a very good ‘hog.

Ben and Eva, I am so sorry for the loss of Pliny. I had a feeling something was up when I hadn’t seen any daily reports for a while. I kept checking back hoping that maybe everyone was just on vacation. Please take comfort in knowing that Pliny had a wonderful life with the best hedgie parents a little quilly could ever ask for. I hope he is wheeling away and breaking all his records over the Rainbow Bridge. Maybe he has found a buddy in my Razzle and those two are causing lots of boy trouble up there. Hugs to you both.
Rest in peace little buddy.

Ben and Eva, I had written a response a few weeks ago but not sure if it went through, so excuse me if this is a duplicate….but I really wanted to say I was so sorry to read about Pliny’s passing. I knew something was up when I hadn’t seen any updates for a while and I was hoping that everyone was just away on vacation. I was very saddened to read this news.
Pliny was a lucky hedgie who had wonderful parents who obviously loved him very much. I hope he is playing and breaking all his running records over the Rainbow Bridge. I’m sure he’s found a partner in crime with my Razzle, who also loved to run. I know Pliny is telling Razzle all about his wonderful life with you and how much fun he had.
My deepest sympathies for your loss. Pliny will never be forgotten.

I remember stumbling upon your blog a year ago, and was totally enthralled by your project. Stumbled back upon it today, and was sorry to read Pliny had passed. My condolences.
